You could probably put a metal tube in place of that fender fuel pump until you have the funds to get another. As stated in my fuel related posts. I gutted my "In-Tank" pump, so it's really just a pass through tube now. I have been running with a single pump now for months.

I believe I read somewhere it was put there to prevent "hydro locking," so I figure I just need to make sure it has plenty of fuel and never let it run low.

Anyways, just some real world experience.
