Ran on 5 cylinders and then fixed itself. Why?
Started the 78SC this morning and she was running on 5, maybe 4, cylinders. When accelerating the RPMs would rise but no umph. When I braked to a stop the engine would not hold an idle. Drove down the street to take it to the wrench and after about 10 minutes it ran fine. Plugs, cap, rotor, and fuel filter changed about 6K ago. I did wash the car last night and it was the first time I starter her since then. I have never had a problem with water entering the engine compartment. I know this is general, but what should I look for as a potential source of the problem? Thanks.
