Ran on 5 cylinders and then fixed itself. Why?

Started the 78SC this morning and she was running on 5, maybe 4, cylinders. When accelerating the RPMs would rise but no umph. When I braked to a stop the engine would not hold an idle. Drove down the street to take it to the wrench and after about 10 minutes it ran fine. Plugs, cap, rotor, and fuel filter changed about 6K ago. I did wash the car last night and it was the first time I starter her since then. I have never had a problem with water entering the engine compartment. I know this is general, but what should I look for as a potential source of the problem? Thanks.

It was not that long ago that someone posted with the same problem. Water and the Bosch CDI will surely find the weak spots in the rest of the ignition components.

Anyway, watch the motor in a dark garage, and see if the dreaded H-V corona is present.

Yes, I have that problem when water goes in the motor compartment( but only when happens the motor is off). This is what happens: My plugs get flooded, so I discover witch cylinder is the problem, pull the injector off and start the motor for some seconds so the plug burn the gason them. Put the injector back on and u got the cure. Sometimes u can get more then one plug flooded.
I canīt discover where the water is sneaking in to cause this....

Here's the tip: open your engine lid prior to washing and place a terrycloth towel under the vent. Wash car, then remove towel and the inevitable lake of water that seems to settle into the top of that darn A/C compressor on the right side.
