My R12S is the first bike I've owned without a center stand. I have the front and rear Pit Bulls, but that's no good for dropping the final drive down for service. I have this nice Craftsman aluminum motorcycle jack (not the red and black atv one).
Its arms are too wide to firmly hold the engine block, maybe .5" on each end and I'd like a little more coverage. Can I just use a 2x6 board across the arms? Or is it ok to lift the bike by the header pipes? Thanks.
