First thing I would check is the oil level ,, when you downshift to 4th the rpms go up hence oil pressure rises... So you have a 5 speed in an 84??? What is the pressure reading on the guage ??
Also Turbo934 is in Sante Fe,, I'd give him a PM he's a pretty knowledgeable guy
