Just wondering, how do you hold the steering wheel?

In other words, in sharp turns do you shuffle your hands around the rim so that they stay in the same position relative to your body, or do you keep them planted so they stay in the same position relative to the steering wheel?

I have never thought much about how I was holding the wheel before - my only rule was "don't wrap your thumbs around the rim" (which comes from 4x4'ing) - but for some reason I am noticing it a lot more with the 911.
