All I know is the R1200C was out at the same time as the r1100's and was probably the same engine design with more displacement. This motor is not the same as the current 1200's.

the R1200C has the same bore and stroke (and about half the power) as the R1200S, so thats not gonna work either. your mechanic must have been dipping into the christmas spirits. the only real bigger displacement option is the 1150 kit SJBMW sells. for the same money you can get the Wossner long rod/high comp piston kit which would probably be a better over all option
