Guys, just to add a little info th the discussion, the 944 had (at least) two shifter boot styles:
Style one is the inner rubber and outer leather boot and shift lever is one piece and all sewn together as part of the shift lever; The 2nd style the leather outer and inner rubber are separate from the shift lever. I think pelican has both styles but not in all colors. For instance my 944S has the one piece design in burgundy and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. 928leather.com (or something similar) said they could fix me up, though.
