Why not like the "real" British sports cars that had the mirror close to to the dash ??? ....real low??

BTW...my mirror is on "tight"...but maybe the dual exhaust is helping the thing viubrate. FWIW...my friend's 911 suffers similary, and as you move the mirror around it's (single) pivot, it's clear that other mirrors have more heft...more damping mass...couldn't hurt.
