As an owner of a 1973.5T with CIS, its never over as far as repair, updates and maintenance goes with these older models.
The guy who owned it before me pumped a bundle into restoration from the engine rebuild to new floor pans and bare metal paint. But despite the small fortune he laid out and the amount of work performed I am still going back and chasing the gremlins associated with old wiring, rubber and metal fittings, hoses, , "rube goldberg like rigging" and the like. Its definitely a love-hate type relationship, but the love seems to always prevail!
So your find, in my opinion is going to be a money pit unless you have a lift, $25,000 gift certificate to your favorite parts place and a storehouse of time and patience.
Let someone else spend the mega bucks on restoration or find a more suitiable model thats good to excellent in the performance standards. It will pay to shell out the thousands more for a better and more appreciable example.
Regards
Bob
