unlike many p-car owners who like putting v-8's in them and backdating and forward dating them and then thinking(emphasis) they are worth more than they really are, the gun world DOES NOT work that way.
if thats the way it came LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE if yer looking to EVER sell it.
if yer looking to shoot it because the existing barrel is pitted/wasted junk, than i would go to a very prominent gunsmith that has big time credentials to figure out the CORRECT solution.
example: if you reblue an old winchester or any model of firearm, your resale has flat fallen off the face of the earth unless you find that certain rare individual that likes it.
magnaport a veapon and yer resale has fallen on its face, unless once again you find that individual who likes it.
