Just got off the phone with Tom at 928 INTL, and there is a shift knob on it's way to Paul C. for recovering in Black Alcantara.
Here is the list of other work the car has had done like Mark mentioned. Some of it is probably a repeat of the work Mark has already posted.
New rotors and pads (just installed)
Refinished brake calipers in red (’86.5 S4 calipers)
Replace DS window motor
Install door panels that aren’t warped at the top edge
Install rear quarter panels that aren’t warped
New clutch disks
New rubber intake boots
Standard 8-way power seats will be professionally refinished to look like new, in the process of having this done
MY02 996 18” replica wheels with 235/40R18 and 275/35R18 Yokohamas (here is a picture of a 928 with these wheels, the wheels I have are OEM silver:
http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...8-post877.html) Rear tires are 70% or so and fronts are 90%.
Used, excellent condition front spoiler (extremely difficult to locate)
Front end alignment
Bleed brakes
It has a Koni suspension setup with Eibach springs—rides so much better than factory 928 suspension and looks much better lowered.
Here is a list of most (there’s more than this even, with records for everything since ~1999) of what has been done to it since 2000 or so, all of these parts are NEW:
MAF sensor
Factory BEHR aluminum radiator
Radiator hoses
Front engine seals (oil pump, front main seal, camshaft seals)
Valve cover gaskets

There is probably a bit more between emails that I am missing, but as you can see, this is going to be one SORTED car.
