I'm finally going to stop bring lazy and get my concealed carry permit, in conjunction with that I'd like to pick up a good compact 9mm. I want 9mm because I'm tired of the expense associated with shooting my 1911, so let's not turn this into a stopping power debate.
Criteria are a $500 price, decent capacity, reliable, and fun to shoot. I'm not a big fan of Glocks as they don't fit my hand, so that's out. I do like the several Springfield XDs that I've shot and I know you can't go wrong with a HK or Sig, though I'd need to find a used or refurb model to meet my price range. Any other good options?
