...that matter, right?
I just got the car back from the shop. It now has nice, cold AC, some new gauges (trans temp, battery), temp-triggered switches for the front cooler and transaxle pump, and some external paint mods.
One external change is the Euro-style headlights with the body color rings snapped over the chrome. I have to admit, I still also like the look of the original US rings (I know, I'm all alone on that). But the narrower rings are growing on me.
Picture quality is lousy, I know. But hey, it's dark out here.
Also, the SC-style rocker covers have been added down below.
No longer are oil lines and undercoat on display. They cut the S deco trim lengthwise, and mated it to similarly-chopped rocker covers. It makes the car look lower, which I like.
I've been driving the
Jaguar, lately. But getting behind the wheel of the real sportscar reminded me what driving is all about. The 911 may have less power than the Jag, on paper, but it's also over a thousand pounds lighter. What a difference a half a ton of dead weight makes...
TRE Automotive and Dave Bouzaglou continue to do great work on this car.
Monday is the Tracquest event at Willow Springs. I'll be making my first foray out with R-compound tires. Needless to say, I'm in a good mood.
