This is my first BMW and after riding for a couple months i have started looking at mods for the bike, i have researched the threads and appreciate all the time and effort you guys have put into this site, I love my 2004 R1100s and plan on keeping it for a long time so i am interested in mods that make it easier to maintain as well as performance, I have performed the 24000 mile service and am relocating the fuel filter. I started looking at after market air filters and came across these. I have searched the thread and have no intention of purchasing from this company or even identifying the maker although i am sure many of you recognize them. My question is does another company make anything similiar, i like the idea of getting rid of the airbox? or could i simply mount filters on the existing tubes coming from the throttle bodies? What would be the benefits or downfall of either mod. thank you
