911 Clutch Adjustment/ Pedal Assembly

I have a 71 911 and a later style 915 Trans with a 2.4. I have found a picture of the style of trans and cable my car has for clarification.

I find that my Clutch pedal throw from top to bottom is far (about 6inches), and the Actual amount of clutch Engagement and Disengagement is only about 1.5 inches. The clutch is working properly as far as engaging/disengaging is concerned but the engagement/disengagement is Very Close to the Top of the Clutch pedal throw. I have read there should be about 1 inch of Free Pedal Play from the top of the pedal and can be achieved by the Adjustment on the Trans side. When I allow for about 1 inch of free play the Pedal is really only just "resting" lower in its travel range and does NOT actuall stay Fully Up - even with the Brake pedal.

Please clarify what needs to be done to keep the Pedal at the Top (even with the brake pedal) and the Range engagement/disengagement in the Right location of the range.

..... Also, .. IS there a Way to have both the Clutch and Brake pedal Closer to the Floor all the Time? --- Making them closer to even with the Accelerator Pedal...

All this being said.. Is there a complete Upgrade package for all Pedals... ????
