82sc - spring centered clutch - difficulty releasing smoothly from standing stop

all,

i've owned a few sc's and never experirnce the clutch feel in my new to me 82 911sc...it has a spring centered clutch that was installed about 30K miles ago when the engine was rebuilt.

**also, the clutch pedal assembly was recently rebuilt using brass bushings by a local reputable seattle shop john walker porsche.

i've noticed the clutch release us a bit higher than i'm used to and also grabs differently - sort of more aggressive. difficult to take off from a standing stop w/o a jerkyness or better way to describe it, i have to gingerly release the clutch while increasing RPM's to get a smooth take off. its actually a bit difficult with the higher release point. i only really notice it from a standing stop and not so noticeable or difficult shifting once the car is in 1st gear.

any way this can be remedied?
