You should first condition the bare spots with a good metal conditioner to eliminate any surface rust. Then apply a quality epoxy primer (use the same brand as your finish coatings to avoid compatibility problems) for long term rust protection. Then you can prime and do your body work over that. Looking at the amount of paint you have already removed, if it were me I think would take it all the way down to metal just to make sure there isn't any hidden damage or rust.
It looks like a fun project. What are your plans for the car? Period correct restoration? 924 GT?

i was thinking an 1980's face lift inside and out...didnt even think of the gt,,hummmmmmmmm...im getting red of the round marker light holes as they were U.S car's any way and going with the blinkers on the mid fender like the euro cars..much better look i think..with i could find some euro bumper's that i didnt have to sell my kid for..lol and going with a 944 hatch spoiler..
