It will work OK, but it will not be the same. There were wiring differences between the 73 and 74 cars. (For one, the 73 had left and right turn signal indicators in the tach--the 74 only had a single one. And there were other detail differences.)

For someone who is doing a "price not much of an object" resto, a 73 harness is probably what is specifically wanted.
