Speedo issue could be a broken cable. Cable runs from front DS wheel to the dash and they wear out. This is on the early - 83 to 85.5 - cars.
Please post your location, as maybe there's a Pelican member close to you who can come and lend a hand and warn you if, say, your car is about to fall and crush your wallet...
