Shannon, I just contacted Tom Lynn, the parts manager at Sierra BMW. I asked if he knew of the improvement in the Ilmberger hugger and if he had them available. He told me that he was aware of the problems, but the two failures that occurred on huggers that he has sold were replaced under warranty by Ilmberger. If you purchased your hugger through Sierra BMW, try contacting Tom,
tom@sierrabmw.com , to see if you can get a new one under warranty replacement. He indicated that Ilmberger stands behind their products, so even contacting them directly might be worth a shot if you purchased it elsewhere.
