Sorry to write: YES :-( Everthing basically needs to be pull out to get your hands in there to unscrew and disconnect the wires, mark them carefully before disconnecting.
Try to get While you are in there items done.
Before putting everything make sure it functions properly and not interefere with other components. my system is hooked up to the central door lock, Ask me how I know :-(
