I did it, but I'm afraid I don't remember most of what was involved. I had UPS act as my customs broker. There are a handful of forms you have to fill out, including power of attorney, and if I remember right the cost was about $150. I think I got hit later for sales tax on the engine. You can get a bunch of shipping bids at a time from some of the online brokers (like
Freight88), but you'll need to know the category code for the thing you're shipping. This code also figures in to the taxes and fees you'll pay. I think 'engine parts' is more cost effective than an entire engine, for example.
