how do I turn over a 964 engine by hand
I've got a 964 with a 'stuck' engine. it's been sitting for a bit so no catastrophic failure, I think some moisture was residual in the cylinders and the pistons are stuck to the cylinders. was running fine a year ago.
starter can't crank the engine over. I've tried turning the fan while holding the belt. no go. fan's not slipping on the belt but I can't generate enough torque on the rubber belt to turn the engine. and I don't see any way to get a socket on the flywheel pulley nut. it's inset too far and the engine support bar is in the way. and to make matters more challenging, it's a tiptronic.
any thoughts?
