I bought a "Dash Mat" for my 928.
My original dash is toast...So the previous owner had installed a new dash-cap (the plastic one), and it looks "ok", but, it's not great (a little warped from Sun damage) so, I just decided to put a dash mat over it, to keep it from getting worse. And, the mat looks decent, so, I keep it on. And for under $50, I feel it was well worth it.
Would like to see if I can find a leather one...probably look much better.
