I believe that there were three different thicknesses of gasket, so I think you may have a kit with a boo-boo. Try calling around to your favorite Porsche parts places and seeing if they have an .010 gasket, or possibly a .004 gasket?

Hopefully James (red-beard) will speak up on the sealant issue. There may be other alternatives to the $80/3 oz. tube 3M stuff, but then again a couple of people over on the other board seems to think it's the stuff that works the best.
