if the felt is the type that is all rubber, then it just pulls out. early cars had metal backed felt that was solidly glued in which required frame removal. installation is as previously described, but i use silicone spray only on the section that goes into the door. push it down as far as possible, raise the glass 3", stick a screwdriver into the felt on a 45° angle with the shank resting on the edge of the glass, and lower the glass. the felt will follow. repeat until it's all the way down.
