I like it, and I'm 5'11" with fairly short legs. It's hard to say for sure, but I would guess that the combination of my car's shortened hub, plus the quick-release and plus the offset spacer probably combine to put the thing about the same distance fromt he dash as a standard hub.
This is all about personal preference. But I really like the look and feel of the Mod 07 compared to the basic Prototipo. (I know there are many, many guys who would feel just the opposite.)
