Factory finish on your 911 was anodized around the rim and the rest was black. Hopefully yours are not chromed, but just polished. If you see pitting or flaking they are chrome. If you can take a bit of aluminum polish and make an area shiny again they are probably just polished out. At this point in time I normally use a pic of Mark Wilson's car to show some nice polished Fuchs, but I just happen to have a picture of my '86 with Al Reed polished Fuchs with a clear powder coating on them.
