I did an install of 2 SU carbs on a V8 once.
It worked really nice...the SU's have no accel pumps...so the piston in them varies the throat size to prevent "bog".
For a 383 it got very good mileage.
Perhaps something like that would work if the carbs wereplaced on short log manifolds with the carbs facing outwards?
