This is funny... I truly mean no disrespect when I say this but... you clearly have way too much time on your hands to worry about what other people think my friend. Obviously you've done some homework on this subject and I'm sure there's some validity to your research in some areas of the country but seriously... why bother trying to convince the naysayers otherwise? You are wasting your time! Furthermore, ALL metals fatigue, rust away, corrode, you name it. NOTHING lasts forever but hey! Thanks for reminding us, lol.

I'm not sure what post #3 is trying to depict but both parts clearly failed due to the inserted steel sleeves rusting (steel expands when it rusts!) and causing the aluminum casing to crack/break. Not an uncommon occurrence.

One more thing to add... I'll bet most any if not all manufacturers of aftermarket parts label them "not for road use" or "for off road use only"!
