No spark on new engine
Hi,
I just installed my new Fat Performance engine. 2.2 with 44 IDF carbs. It looks great in the car but for some reason I can't get any spark. It has a oo9 distributor with a red and black wire.
There is also a black&purple wire and another black wire from the original harness. I'm not quite sure which goes to which terminal. I tried following the diagram from the haynes book but still no spark. The Haynes book mentions a green wire from the distributor but I think that is from the old distributor.
Is there anything else I might have missed ignition-wise during the carb conversion? If anyone has done this conversion and can help. Please help!!
