Just with all may cleaning the trunk actually looks really nice ...
then to hide it and cover it with glue just got me thinking as my 75 911 is snapped.
I'll move forward as it was from the factory .. glue it is ...
snaps on the top line of carpet is an inch or more away from the tank and is a double wall there so the screw would go through the first wall and be far from the tank if it was a "new / "singer 914" I am sure that would be what was done .
