I can comment here for sure, my 06 Cayenne did great on a back country hunting trip. It has 4-wheel drive and factory skid plates. Plenty of power to go up steep hills I shouldn't have, down them with ease as well.
Trekked along hill sides and I always felt good balance, ground clearance was good, a few close calls but that's what the skid plate is there for. Overall, I came across many jeeps in hard to reach areas and they asked me what the heck am I doing with a Porsche up there. Some folks thought I was insane but I had a blast and the car did it easily. Enjoy!!
