One of my friends had two dogs. The older dog had learned that the area in front of the refrigerator on the throw rug was a warm spot. The younger dog soon wanted to horn in on the warm spot. The older dog was smart enough to run to the back window and bark like a squirrel was back there. The young one would vacate the warm spot and the old one would go get in the warm spot. She did it regularly.
