Yes I opened it, did the work to fix one of the wires that came apart at the connection by the nut. I checked continuity and everything was connected good. If I would to check Resistance what would be full or low fuel? The float seems to be fine, I think it was getting stuck so I re polish the shaft it rides on. Thanks for the help.

You could try an ohm meter on it. It should show a resistance change as it is moved through out it's travel. It may read non linear. In other words a bigger resistance change either at full or open condition. Some gauges show a slower drop at near full and faster as it goes to empty. Just my best guess.
