I bought a Hargett 915 shifter used, installing on my 82. Right away I'm already confused. The forward left side screw that holds the parking brake in place is not there, and there is no threading inside the hole like the other 2 parking brake screws. Wtf?

Secondly, with test fitting it seems like the defroster levers will not fit underneath the Hargett very well. I don't have heat so that's fine. Remove these?

Third, I have heard of some moving the parking brake to the place where the old shifter was. How do I extend the cables? Doesn't seem possible with that funky pull design.

Any other ideas or tips?
