1000rpm idle HOT, flapper fully closed? Is this normal?
I have done pressure test before and found several small leaks so there should not be any major leaks now but the TB axle leaks some. Butterfly has the normal small hole in it. I would have thought I could kill the engine dialing the Idle crew all the way shut.

There is always a "hole" in the AAR as it has that half moon slide valve that never fully closes. Should be able to go lower than 1000rpm though, check your injector blocks and see if they are loose.

Should have mentioned I'm EFI and no AAR anymore. I control cold Idle with my hand throttle. SO there must be some leaks if I read correctly between the lines.
With speed density EFI its nice to be able to strip the IC out of the way and start the engine
