'72 911S engine number 2
Hello all. While doing PPE came across strange engine number. Same number as CofA but looks re-stamped and with no stars before and after. Has anyone ever seen one like it?

To my eye it looks like the original number has been cut out or skimmed with an endmill and then re-stamped.


You might also ask on the 911 forum.
