3.4L Turbo engine

Over the past 6 months myself and two former Andial race engine builders (Steve Becker and Rich Creedon), have gotten together on Saturdays and some evenings to build some engines and relive some of the past experiences we had. It was a great opportunity to spend some quality time together, build some engines and for Steve and Rich, to get their hands dirty again.

One engine is a 3.4L Turbo and will be sold as a long block. It can be sold with a complete 930 Intake, but it may be of interest as a long block so a different Intake can be fitted. There is also a modified 3.2L Intake that could be fitted.

This engine is having no expense spared in its reconditioning. It is easier to list the work and parts included.

Engine case. Fully prepped and all dimensions measured and checked for size. Main housing bore std. 993 head studs fitted.
Crankshaft. Stock 74.40mm std, std. flushed, micro polished, and balanced.
Oil pump. Rebuild 930.
Connecting Rods. PD custom, steel.
Pistons/Cylinders. Mahle 98.0mm. Pistons coated.
Cylinder heads. Twin plug, new guides and seats fitted, PD sealing system.
Cam housings. Modified for increased rocker arm oiling.
Camshafts. PD custom T2 on new shafts.
Rocker arms. Rebuild with hard chrome contact faces. Shafts coated.
Sheetmetal/covers. Powder coated Black and gray, including Fan housing and fan.
Shroud. Repainted Red
Fasteners and hardware. Recoated Gold cad.
Alternator. Rebuilt.
New main and rod bearings prepped and coated. New chains, rails, gaskets, seals, cam oil lines etc.

This engine built by Steve and Rich, will be up for sale on its completion to the highest offer. The pedigree of both Steve and Rich in Porsche race engine building business is hard to match. Over 30 years combined with Daytona 24 hour, Le Mans, and many countless IMSA wins, with both aircooled and water cooled engines.
