Recommendations needed for Lambda Controller for Micosquirt
After three failed 14point7 lambda controllers including two DOA units that all, based on the 14point7 support forum seems to be a common failure I've completely lost faith in this product.
I'm looking for a replacement controller that will work with the standard Bosch LSU4.9 sensor. Just looking for a bare bones controller with a linear output that is small and can be installed in the engine compartment. Thanks

I replaced my Innovate LC-1 about two years ago with an ALM-ADV. It uses a LSU-ADV sensor which is supposed to be faster and more temperature tolerant than the LSU-4.9. The controller uses the Bosch chipset to complement the LSU sensors. Not many people use this brand, I thought I would give it a try. The output signal is much more smooth (in data logs) compared to the LC-1, which seemed to have a lot of noise. It also appeared to respond quicker than the LC-1. The electronics for the ALM-ADV are mounted in an aluminum box with connectors. I had them assemble mine with ALM-CAN box which is smaller, to ease mounting in the engine compartment.
I checked the ALM website and they now offer the ALM-INLINE, which has a small inline package to house the electronics just like the LC-1 had, making it easier to mount. It will also work with the LSU-ADV sensor. So, you can check it out to see what you think. Otherwise, a lot of people use the AEM wideband controller.

I have the innovate mtx-L.
I haven't been the happiest with it and their tech support aren't nice nicest people to deal with. I've been looking at the units from 14point7. |

My experience with 14point7 has been less than stellar, and seems to be common. I would consider other options.

I typically use the Innovate LC-2. Any of the WBO2 controllers are sensitive to electrical noise. Make sure you have clean input voltage.

I have an innovate LC-1 that's from my old evo from 2006 and still going strong, though I did replace the sensor. I have an extra MTX-L plus that is brand new if you're interested.

I've used a few over the years and have been very happy with the NTK air fuel ratio monitor. Much less glitchy than the innovates and others. I prefer to use the NTK sensor version as well, they do seem more robust than the Bosch LSUs

I installed the innovate LM2 several years ago adding the wiring for monitoring boost, control pressure, voltage and a/f ratio. Later I added innovate AF dash gauge which is wired to the original unit and gives better visibility. I don't think I have used the large monitor since I mounted the gauge, it just rides next to the console if I ever want to mess with it. I'm not a big fan of innovate but it all continues to work and I haven't seen a product with enough fans to make me change.
I'm not sure why they call these a/f controllers when to me they are just monitors. The best improvement to all of this was when I added a control pressure gauge to the dash and another under the hood which makes CIS much easier to monitor and adjust.
