Yeah, but I have severe short term memory issues. What size is the core? I'm thinking of downsizing my intercooler but I'd like to still have it flow back to front rather than left to right for more CFM capacity.

Its about 29*9*2inches. I have done some air blocking and flow directioning mods for it so the fan pulls air through it and @ over 45 Celcius WMI kicks in which it rarely does.

My MAT Atmo delta is about 20-25 C on WOT pulls.

I should have pretty low backpressure with my 18cm2 hot housing but those 7psi springs just wont cut it.

Before I will buy and install stiffer springs (turbosmart instructs that one should not change springs after wg is being used for best operation?) I will test the MAP to top port test and I just ordered the 4 port MAC too. I also see the point that users dont care if the 3 port leaks power as the car is a hanfull already, but I have 315 wide r888 so I have some grip unused : )

I have tried all the options on tunerstudio for better boost but I only get a spike and its all over with 3 port. HW on my car now is holset hx40/18cm2 with two turbosmart 38 WGs/lower port/3portMAC-valve and true split design. Zork after turbo.

With my slipping clutch (new clutch is under paypal resolution, duh) at this moment I only need best spool and higher boost and no taper on 1st and 2nd gears.

Dont worry about the intake (CIS filter), it was just for the first test drive and it droppep to newer be found : ) even though I had a worm band on it plus another to catch it if it loosens and falls.

Thanks for the nice words, I appreciate it - badass car you have!

Yep overboost thresholds were hit and I took a stab at lowering the duty table by 16 and hit my target perfectly at 20#sboost. Boost comes in much sooner and MUCH scarier than before. Thanks Jacob glad I spent the 45.00
Thanks for posting, makes a smile - glad you got a much scarier boost than before!

Since my last post I went for my smallest turbo K7200R and while it was faster on spool it really died after 5000rpm so last weekend I installed my Holset HX40super back and now its with the 4 port mac valve and I even bought two 10psi springs for the ultragates to test later. Weather has become wet but what I gathered from first test drives the boost is managable with 7psi springs but I think I will gain spool with stiffer springs. So far I've only tested 0.9bar boost with the hxsuper and my clutch have healed a bit as it even hold the 1.5bar spike on second gear with the k7200r.

Paypal unfortunately took the sellers side (idiots) so I now have a wrong 594 PP and 2 extra OE release bearings, DUH

Here is my current situation after figurin out why I get massive taper on boost even with my holset hx40 super. First I changed my 3.5in intake silicon humphose for the stock smashed metal pipe thinking it had collapsed just like I had my soft Metering Head rubber elbow collapse when I was still CIS.

Nope, did not help a bit which was very disappointing. Then I figured it MUST be the silencer flap I have on my zork so I installed several extra springs for it so it would not move with a lot of exhaust getting past it. Heureka, no more taper, so now I need to find one rigid spring so it doesn't look so stupid as it does now.

1 bar @3000rpm in 4th gear.
1 bar @3400 in 3rd gear
1 bar @4050 in 2nd gear
1 bar @6000 in first gear

I downloaded my sd card logs which are 10 samples per second and I think I still have the silenser flapper blocking flow in 1st gear high rpms, see pic. MAPxRPM is close to MAF values which is airflow. If I cant find a short and strong spring I will remove the flapper to be sure I don't have exhaust backpressure.

Gotta give credit to megalogviewerHD even though it has its shortcomings. Logworks had very nice run comparison tool 10 yrs ago but MLV still lacks it.

Nice data
How do you measure back-pressure?
Have you done a leak test? (just for the sake of it)
Sometimes I have noticed the airfilter in fact was way too small when looking/asuming fine. So I found high vacuum on filter side. 1st gear have short time to build up boost so if critical vacuum is present on filter side, it might be visible in 1st gear more than rest of gears. Just a thought

Boost was better today when I removed the flapper, but bp still high on 1st and 2nd on high rpms. My bung is just before turbo flange. Found another problem. Fpr falls. Checked my 5micron filter and it was clean. Added second 044 in place of front 100micron filter. Then found one tb vacuum hose complitely off the one at the back. That alone might have big delta for fpr hose on the other side of tb. I did leak test a month ago with no leaks so this was new leak. also need to add a breather for fuel tank as there was vacuum last time I opened the cap. Do we have option for wented gas cap?
