Has anyone purchased an ecu from peeps@vems.ee?

Curious as to experiences...

He has a Facebook page too if you need to get ahold of him.

I have not personally used his products but he has been very easy to contact and discuss things.

I've got it on my vehicle. Pretty hard to contact during awake hours due to the time change but super helpful. No issues here thus far. Are there more sophisticated standalones out there? Sure, but I didn't want to chop up my harness and modify the car too heavily so this was my avenue. I'll add that you should be WELL versed in fuel injection theory and tuning. If you're expecting him to tune your car for you, that's not the case. The base map for ignition, fuel, and settings will get you going but you'll need to come up with the rest of the knowledge on your own. Won't be like dropping the ECU in and away you go...

I have also been interested in this and will get one as soon as my project gets rolling again.
But interested in peoples' experiences installing and using it.
Agree, the fellow is very communicative and helpful with info.

I'm just wondering what is so great about VEMS over MS or AEM that you'd wait 3 or 4 mos. for it? The only thing I can come up with is $$? I will be in the market soon and am leaning towards MS3Pro but would also like to know more about this.

Out of ignorance, is there a unit that is easy to install and then off you go?
I truly do not want to have to do a Masters degree program just to get a car running, and I don't want to put someone on salary just so I can drive my car, and I really don't like the idea that I have to pay someone big bucks to "tune" my car.
Sooooo, is there such a beast as a simple idiot proof system that doesn't require continual and perpetual investment of time and money to get a turbo car running, and to keep it driving?

Somehow after several years of doing this project, I'm raising this question. Rather late, huh.

Thanks!

As far as why do his, first, I didn't want to rewire a bunch of plugs and stuff. His is plug and play, other than tuning. Second, he has been super helpful with ideas.

This is whats kept me from making the switch. Too much time will need to be invested into learning how to properly tune, and if you do it wrong the results may be very costly. I would think there could be an appropriate "ready to go" tune for most of the popular applications. Stock compression 3.2 or 3.0 with .5 bar boost, stock CIS to fuel injection for example, both of which are fairly common in the P car world of boost. There are several supercharger /turbo kits for domestic cars that come with a baseline tune that's good to go unless someone wants to extract every ounce of power.

Good, Fast, Cheap.

Pick any two. Right now your expectations are unrealistic.

Yah, I have heard that before ("pick any 2") -- however, it goes against thinking intelligently, when faced with soooooooo many other cars that are in the same category and are equally good (or even better), and which are start-and-drive, and drive fast, forever.

Smacks of elitism and arrogance, with little substance to back the attitude of superiority.

Certainly, there has to be some everyday solution after 3+ decades of experimentation, and quantum leaps of technology since the 1980s, nyet?

Stick a small block in it with a Fitech TBI setup. They will supposedly self tune to a 80-85% level.

That's what I'm talking about ... where's the one for a P-car? We've only had 30-40 years to get one developed.
Where are you smart guys?

Edlebrock even makes a smog legal roots type supercharger bolt on for my 2015 Jeep JK. Boosted it will put out 385 hp. You need to send in the ecu but it comes back with tune ready to go.
