It turned out to be the bolts on the intake cover on the passenger side were a bit lose, I tightened them and now its dry. Now I can enjoy my turbo 3.2 to the max!

I found a dual exhaust tip, I cut it into two separate tips, it turned out to be looking great.

The great thing about it is the total cost of the whole muffler and end pipes and tips, less than $200 total!

Now the sad part of the story, I have a nasty oil leak on the passenger side of the engine :

I tried to find the source of the leak with no success, I suspected the engine oil cooler, but its bone dry underneath the car, I wonder of the boost of the turbo would pressurize the engine case and cause the oil to seep out of the valve cover, I have the same breather hoses routed from the case to the oil tank as it was originally from the Carrera 3.2 engine, do I need to delete the breather hose going from the oil tank to the throttle body elbow? .. I even thought of cleaning the oil and fixing a go pro camera inside the engine compartment and drive the car to figure out where exactly the oil is coming from!



I understand you solved the leak but reading the above, I just wanted to say that the answer is 'yes'. If you are still using the original 3.2 Carrera Elbow & Throttle Body 'system', a lot of the connections need to be considered as you are now pushing pressurized air through these hoses. These are the hoses that I removed (and plugged the bungs):
- From Oil Tank Filler Neck to 90-degree Elbow (or you will pressurize the crankcase)
- Both hoses to the Thermoswitch. I believe this is the name....it is screwed into the intake manifold just below the Throttle Body. The first nipple accepts air from the intake and then via the switch, pushes air to the Ambient Air Valve near the Oil Tank Filler Neck. This will also pressurize the crankcase if the switch is open.
- From Charcoal / Carbon Canister to the 90-degree Elbow, or, in the original configuration, to the Air Filter Box (else you will loose boost out of the Charcoal / Carbon Canister).

The other ports should be OK as you can use them for the BOV reference, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel Pressure Damper, and Brake Booster assortment. I should note that the Brake Booster assortment should have a one way check valve to only allow 'vacuum' in those hoses. If not, you won't have assisted braking under boost, which may not matter in the slightest unless that is important to you / your driving.

What you said makes total sense, and I think that may be the cause of my "late" boost, as it seems the boost has a bigger volume that need to pressurize before going into boost. I will try to plug these ports and see if it will make it boost sooner.

Great thread, this provides motivation for me to continue gathering parts to turbo by 87. I think I'm fine with all the mechanical changes, the fuel injection is what makes me the most hesitant to start.
