Turbo 3.2 : Almost done.
I started my project few months ago, you can read about it in my previous post :
My Turbo Project : Adding a turbo to a 3.2. Now its almost done, I made a base map to just get it started and be drivable. The only issue I'm trying to fix now is the idle, I'm new to Tuning Studio and still learning how to tweak things, but I still couldn't get it to idle right, as you can see in this video, sometimes it stalls when I decelerate pressing the clutch. But all in all, I'm happy. BTW, I liked a lot the tall gears of the 930, it made the car much more enjoyable to drive than the short ratios of the 915, also the Wevo shifter made it shift like a brand new car, very precise and direct. https://youtu.be/ZaFY3_Kgftk Right now I put a 3 psi springs in the wastegate just to keep it safe while tuning, the turbo spools at around 4000 rpm, which is a bit late for my taste, but it might be OK concerning that I have open diff. I will post later on today a full list of all the parts that I used and the total $$$. ![]()

Looking good!
Here's an idle adjustment tip for you. I had idle speed issues when tuning idle on my turbo 3.4. Even at idle - the turbo is pushing a little air. Despite all of my tuning of the IAC, I couldn't get the idle down below like 1200-1400. I ended up turning the idle air adjustment screw almost all the way in to the throttle body in order to compensate for the extra air the turbo was putting out. This dropped my idle down to 850-900. |

Can’t help with the Efi idling, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Are you sure you’re not boosting until 4,000 rpm? That’s hard to believe. With headers and no cat even the stock 3ldz boosted before then. Are you going by feel or are you logging on the laptop? I see your tach isn’t working in the video.

Is Microsquirt controlling the idle valve? If so, then did you check its operation using the test mode in Tuner Studio as outlined in section 15 of the Tuner Studio Microsquirt manual?

This is great news! Congrats on getting it going.
Now the fun part begins! I didn't see it, but do you have a separate boost gauge in the car or are you looking at or just using the Tunerstudio readout? I have mine set to about 9psi and I start building boost the moment I put a load on the gas pedal. I'm at full boost by 4000rpm or so. (I'd have to look again) Mine would stall too because I removed the deceleration valve on the back of the 3.2 throttle body (because I don't think it worked) but I have my idle set at around 1000-1100rpm. I've gotten used to it....
