Leonard, Nice video and great car. The components you have put together to build your car are fantastic. You have really done a great job.

In somewhere around 1995 I was at the Pamona swap meet in southern california. A vendor there had a "930 short shifter" that he claimed was a RUF short shifter. It had the RUF sticker on the left side and I liked the modifications that were done to it, so I took a chance it was the real deal and paid a high price for it. Now I see evidence, in your RUF assembled pictures, that this is the exact same shifter I have. Just last week I was going to start cutting it up and modifying it as I have a WEVO currently installed. I guess I will have to rethink that idea.

I very much appreciate that. I’ve spent years and years modifying and swapping parts on this 930. I bought it in 2002 and within a year the dreaded broken head stud issue “popped up”. A lot of what I learned came from the great people and knowledge of this forum.

That Ruf shifter assembly is a rare item. I actually ended up modifying a Wevo shifter assembly to work with the 5 speed Ruf box. I traded a 77 911S project car to a ex factory racing mechanic in Toronto named Jay Loyds for the Ruf box, shifter and clutch cable.

Good job on your video about your 930. I like it not being stock and it has most if not all RUF upgrades. That's pretty rare.

Thanks a lot Mike. I drove it for a while mostly stock and always thought it was just incredible. But, eventually you realize “I need more power” and it becomes harder to “satisfy” the boost junkie. For now I’m satisfied.... but for how long?
