P234 911 crankshaft seal installation tool
Made by Sir Tools.
I have had two of these tools recently that do not fit my 1986 911 turbo. The bolt pattern is slightly off and as a result, the bolts do not thread into the crank. Maybe it fits a a standard 911, but I had to enlarge two of the holes to get the bolts in. I could have enlarged all 3 hole, but 2 bolts are enough to use the tool. See the picture below and note that the hole in the tool is to the right of the hole in the crankshaft. Once modified, it works like a charm. Comments welcomed.

I’ve never ever used this tool. Just a mallet and a die to fit the diameter of the seal.

Yeah, I don't remember how I did the last 3.2 engines I did, but once 'fixed' the tool is a slick solution. The tool lifts the sealing lip away from the crank, so there is no possibility of the lip folding back
Also, no chance of the spring coming loose, which can happen if you are 'tapping' the seal in. My complaint is that it is expensive and I had to modify it before I could use it.
