Has anyone used BIG truck air filter on their 930?
https://www.dieselequipmentinc.com/products/b085011
That would clear all the air needed with little pressure drop but its chunky and a bit heavier than your normal cone dust feeder. I now have a 4" opening from wheel well that would fit one of these bad boys nicely.

That looks just like the filter in my Turbo Diesel Motorhome. The diesel is pulling 30lbs of boost most of the time so maybe three times the flow. Would the excess capacity affect the performance?

They should flow well because of the size but not sure how power level affects the flow, thats why I asked for experience. I just ordered one...

An air filter can act as a restriction, and by going to a much larger one you essentially remove that restriction thus optimizing that part of the process. Once the restriction is negligible, adding excess capacity produces no more benefit except a longer filter-replacement interval. However it can cause problems such as fitment issues or it may cost more, etc.

Dyno shows no difference between smaller K&N cone filter and no filter at all when tested up to 400whp.

I already have backpressure raising even with dual headerWGs and zork so Im trying to optimize intake restrictions and still keeping the air clean which is a bit harder with KN.

So this is going in the wheel well area above the tire?

No, just the 4” alu pipes go there and this goes behind the IC or right at the 4” opening if there is space in some tilt angle facing forward.
