I'm sorry, but you could not pay me enough to even be seen in a 928, let alone buy one. Hell it's damn near an AMC Pacer!
This one with fender flairs and rocker panels etc., only makes it worse...if that is possible. Mark |

Hey Mark I was just contacted yesterday by RWB Thailand wanting another turbo exhaust system. I asked and they said most of the cars using my gear are 930's, some are 911 Turbo conversions. You should contact them.

Nothing further from the truth. A manual late model 928 is an incredible car.

S&R,
I didn't say they drove like a Pacer, I was referring to the looks only. Yes a 928 can drive well, although they are not a sports car, and they are nothing like a 911 platform, but in the end I simply can't get past the looks. Hell my 944 turbo was even slightly questionable for my specific Porsche tastes, but after my painfully disappointing foray with an Infinity G37S, it was a good compromise for a daily driver. Well, well, well...mystery solved.
Joined a Facebook group for 930's, and posted that I was looking for info about the car. Low and behold, Juan was on that Facebook page. Apparently we simply had some kind of weird electronic hick-up regarding communications, and then I moved to Thailand, which eliminated all of my USA communication addresses & #'s. He loves the car and all is good! I always had a good feeling about Juan, so good to know that was an accurate feeling. Mark Last edited by full quack; 11-15-2021 at 08:43 PM.. |

I know that feeling. My 88 930 has been at turbokraft since Sep 2020 getting lots of fun things done to it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and I can't wait to get her back to Washington State as well.

I feel your pain. Everyone has a “I miss my 930” story. Dumbest thing I ever did was sell my 78 930 before their prices went through the roof. Miss it everyday.
