83SC 3.0 to 3.2 SS with 930 3.3 heads?
Hi,
I was wondering if you can machine 3.3 930 heads to fit a 98mm 3.0 to 3.2 short-stroke piston and cylinder upgrade kit? I need to use 930 head because I'm installing a supercharger. Thanks for any help with this. Chris |

Porsche produced a few engines for the 911 SC as a power package that used 930 cylinders. Displacement was 3.1L. The SC heads should be retained as the ports/valves are larger. This combo would be really nice for a boosted engine.

98mm cylinders should be slip-fit to those heads, no machining necessary.

So if I can find slip-fit cylinders probably from LN Engineering, that would be great. I was going to have them port the heads and have a cryogenic treatment done. Then high-performance valve springs with titanium retainers. Last but not least I'll get fire rings installed. Hopefully, that will deal with the heat and add some giddy up!
